The London Beer Engine - fancy a pint?

Visiting London? Heard about English Ale and how wonderful, varied and interesting it is? Keen to try some, but not sure that you'd get a nice one? We can help!

We like BEER. Proper. English. Ales. To the extent that we're evangelical about it and want to spread the joy.

So if you're going to be visiting London, fancy a pint* and aren't sure of the best place to get a decent one, or if you've heard of the legendary beer or pub: <insert legendary beer or pub of choice> and really want to experience it whilst you're here then we're the people to speak to!

Q1. What's a Beer Engine?

Proper beer is normally pulled up from the cellar to the glass by those big fancy handles on the bar. The machinery you can't see that does all the work under the bar is called the beer engine. (Unless it's on gravity which is generally even nicer. Ask us about this over a pint sometime, we could go on all night.)

The little plastic taps that the yellow stuff fizzes out of are not on our radar.

It works like this:

You contact us, we work out what you are likely to enjoy, where, when, and how you want to get around.

You leave a booking deposit via PayPal.

We meet at the appointed time, collect the balance and go and find a beer. Or two.

We drop you off at the predetermined end point so you'll know where you are and how to get back to base.

You tell your friends how good English BEER is and how much fun we are to have as guides.

*The question 'fancy a pint?' in our experience very seldom actually means 'Let's go and have one pint and one pint only'.
